Is there a minimum commitment?

We accept cash, credit cards, and checks. Payment is due at the time of service.

We require 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full session fee. We handle emergencies on a case-by-case basis.
Test Preparation
What tests do you prep for?
SAT, ACT, SHSAT (NYC Specialized High Schools), ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam), and SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test). Each program includes diagnostic assessment, personalized study plans, and full-length practice tests.
When should my child start SAT prep?
We recommend 3-6 months before the test date. Most students begin in spring of sophomore year or fall of junior year. Students needing significant improvement benefit from starting earlier. We assess readiness during the diagnostic session.
When should SHSAT prep start?
6-9 months before the test (typically late October). Starting in spring or summer of 7th grade gives enough time to build skills. Some students benefit from earlier foundational work.
How much can test scores improve?
It depends on the starting point. SAT students who complete our full program (15-20 sessions) typically see 150-250 point improvements. SHSAT and ISEE improvements vary by student. We set realistic targets during the diagnostic.
Sessions & Learning
What grades and subjects do you tutor?
Kindergarten through Grade 12 in all core subjects: math, reading, writing, science, and history. We also offer test prep (SAT, ACT, SHSAT, ISEE, SSAT), homework help, study skills, and our NYS-approved Genius Plan.
Are sessions one-on-one?
Yes, every session is private and one-on-one. Your child works directly with their tutor in a focused environment. We do not offer group classes.
Do you offer online tutoring?
Yes. We offer both in-person sessions at 928 Broadway and fully remote sessions via video call. Remote students receive the same personalized curriculum, practice tests, and session reports.
What is the Genius Plan?
A NYS-approved personalized academic development program ($150). We work with your child to create a custom academic roadmap with specific goals, milestones, and strategies for long-term success from K-12 through college.
Do parents receive session reports?
Yes. After every session, you receive a written report covering what was studied, areas of improvement, and next steps. Reports are available anytime — full transparency is core to our approach.
