Free Regents Tools — score calculator & curve history

Two tools, two questions. The score calculator converts your raw score into the scale score NYSED published for the exact sitting your child took. The curve history answers the other one: how the raw score needed for a 65 has moved from session to session over a decade.

Every exam has its own calculator page, with the full chart for its most recent administration in the page. 9 of the 11 also have a curve history page: a series drawn over one or two points is not a series, so exams with fewer than 4 published administrations are left out of that column until NYSED publishes more.

A number is a starting point, not a plan

These tools tell you where a score sits. What they cannot tell you is what to do about it — and the gap to a 65 is almost always a small number of raw points, which is a few weeks of work rather than a lost year. Our Regents tutoring page sets out how we work backwards from the January date to a weekly plan, subject by subject.

For everything else — how New York's tests fit together, what admissions actually look at, when to start — the GeniusPrep blog is where we write it down.

Which Regents is your child sitting in January?

Tell us the subject and the score they came out with. We start with a diagnostic so the plan fits the gap, not the calendar.
